Frequently Asked Questions (FAQS)What type of dancing should I do? All social dance types compliment each other, the music you like should be part of the deciding factor. For instance if you like country music, then line dance would be the one for you, if you like easy listening music then Ballroom dancing would be your cup of tea, you may like Latin music, then Latin dancing would set your feet a tapping. The hardest thing about learning to dance, is your very first step, you know the one! It's the one that takes you through the door for your first lesson, after that the going gets progressively easier as you learn to dance. You can make the first step easier for yourself, by asking a friend , or partner, to join you, then if you know what type of dance you wish to do, join a class in that style of dance. If you do not know the style, or type, of dance, then phone Stardust and talk it over with one of the teachers, they will be able to advise you. You may have danced in the past, but forgotten most of it! Stardust teachers will advise you on what grade of class would suit you best. |
I have never danced before and feel a little shy about coming to learn to dance. Will I make myself look stupid? Definitely not. Everybody who starts to dance is in the same position. Even the top professional dancers had to start somewhere as absolute beginners. There are always new people like yourself turning up, so you will never be alone in your newness to dance.
